InviMed at the Reproductive Endocrinology Symposium 19 May 2009
Between May 23 and 25, 2009 the Second Polish-French Reproductive Endocrinology Symposium took place in Kraków. During the meeting the staff of InviMed clinic presented their research achievements. The symposium was attended by specialists from all over Poland. Doctors and embryologists from Warsaw’s InviMed clinic – the European Centre of Motherhood – presented in Kraków two scientific papers co-authored by Dr Ricardo Faundez, Dr Marta Wojciechowska, Dr Tomasz Rokicki, Dr Yona Barak, Marta Bogucka, Aneta Chełstowska and Anna Winnicka.
One of the papers concerned introduction of the oocyte vitrification method as complementary to assisted reproduction techniques and its use by InviMed clinic in infertility treatment. The work presented results of the research into the survival rate of oocytes after vitrification and the ICSI procedure as well as the proportion of clinical pregnancies and births after using this method.
The research carried out by InviMed doctors showed that vitirification is a good alternative to the embryo freezing method. It enables the maintenance of fertility, for example, in patients who are to undergo oncology treatment. The presentation given by the specialists from InviMed clinic was met with great interest. The innovativeness and effectiveness of the method was received with enthusiasm.
